Since 2016 Ceramic Development has invested into a development program to design measurement equipment (temperature, humidity, etc.) of new generation. These equipment are dedicated to be simple to use, reliable and affordable.
Many of our customer cannot afford the measurement equipment that are available on the market because they are too sophisticated and too expensive. The way Ceramic Development is working to solve these problems is simple:
- Use of Open Source electronic component and software,
- Quick prototyping thanks to 3D printing with high temperature plastic (ABS, PTE),
- Easy setting and recording on µ-SD card (CSV file),
- Radio connectivity,
- Standard batteries.
In 2018, K type temperature data logger with 8, 16, 24 or even 32 channels have been produced and presented in April at Ceramitec in Munich (Germany). Those equipment will be soon available for sale. N and S type will be also available soon.
Temperature data logger can be used to monitor batch kiln, fusion oven, thermal treatment kiln, and even tunnel kiln with the proper thermal barrier.
Next step is the development (2018/2019) of data logger for drying processes capable of recording one or more of the following parameters:
- Temperature,
- Humidity,
- Retraction (i.e. ceramic)
- Air speed,
- Weight loss.
